Business accounts are now here for Estonian private limited companies (OÜ or osaühing) that have a single owner, beneficiary and a director, who reside in a country in which Lightyear is already available for personal accounts.
These accounts are available for certain low-risk industries. Please see the document “List of high-risk industries” in our Legal documents, which describe the industries we currently do not onboard.
A Lightyear business account is connected to the owner’s verified personal account but each account is created and managed separately. This means that deposits, conversions and withdrawals in your business account are separated from your personal account actions. It’s also important to remember that we can only accept deposits to Lightyear business accounts from the business’ bank account.
To navigate from one account to another, you have three options in the Lightyear app:
- Select your profile in the top left corner and tap on the business account button under your name
- Tap and hold on your profile icon in the top left corner of the app
- Swipe up or down over your profile icon in the top left corner of the app
