You can only share your referral link with close friends and family, who wish to start investing actively on Lightyear. Sending out mass invitations, as well as sharing your link publicly on social media, online forums and other similar platforms is not allowed and may result in the closure of your referral scheme participation.

In order to keep our referral program between active customers only, you are not permitted to withdraw your reward for 30 days after receiving it in accordance with the [Referral Scheme Terms](https://golightyear.com/referral-scheme-terms).

The 30 days limitation to withdraw also applies to any promotional code that grants you a reward in stock in accordance with the [Lightyear Sign-up Promotion Terms](https://golightyear.com/signup-promotion-terms).

Can I withdraw my referral or promotional code reward?

From time to time Lightyear runs promotions (promos) to empower people to discover and learn about investing. 

To be able to redeem a promo code there's a few things to check first:

1. You meet the criteria: check the terms of the promotion you want to use, generally speaking they are only available to new users who haven't claimed any other promotion or referral bonus previously
2. You're [eligible](https://golightyear.com/help/getting-verified/what-services-do-you-offer-and-who-is-eligible) to sign up with Lightyear
3. You have any [supporting documentation](https://golightyear.com/help/getting-verified/verifying-your-identity-and-address) you might need to verify yourself. Remember we're a regulated investment firm, and as such may be required to ask additional questions to be able to offer you our services

Once you confirm the above, you can download the app and begin entering your information. 

Entering a promo code is easy. It's possible to do while you're signing up, so don't worry if you missed that step. You can enter a promo code after signing up by:

1. Opening/logging in to your Lightyear app
2. Selecting your personal profile in the top left corner of the app
3. Scrolling to "Promotions"

Once you enter the promotional code, if eligible, you'll see the conditions needed to claim the bonus. 

**It's important to remember only users who complete signing up and a deposit are eligible for Lightyear promotions.**

Any promotional codes intended for your business account are entered via personal account even though its benefits apply to your business account.

How can I claim a promo code?

If you’re enjoying your Lightyear account, why not share the word with your friends, too. Because everyone should have access to truly friction-free investing.

### Who can send referrals?
Our most active and loyal users are rewarded with access to our referral program. This is because we believe that to be able to genuinely refer our platform to your loved ones, you first need to have tried and tested it. We do not provide the exact steps on how to qualify, but when you become eligible for the referral program, you will be notified in the app and see an invitation at the top right corner of the app.

### How do the invites work?
Qualifying users will receive a notification from Lightyear once they have been added to the referral program. The reward amount currency depends on where the inviter is located. For specific information on our current referral program, please see our referral scheme terms linked below.

This reward is for you to invest in any stock you wish — no more spinning the wheel and hoping you’ll get lucky!

### What do the invitees need to do?
In order for you both to claim the reward, your invitees will have to complete signing up and then fund their Lightyear account with the minimum deposit specified in the terms linked below from their personal bank account.

How does the Referral program work?

We always aim to send out your reward within five business days of you qualifying for it. Make sure the person has funded their account with the minimum required deposit specified in our [referral scheme terms](https://golightyear.com/referral-scheme-terms), and if you both don’t have the reward **within five days**, please contact our support team below.
